FIFA 14 has no major changes compared to its predecessor. A few control adjustments, a slightly slower playing speed, and some minor differences in playing modes are noticeable. However, these improvements include better ball physics and animations. The main selling points remain the comprehensive license package and a wide range of playing modes.
The gameplay is focused on soccer, with various leagues and matches available. Two unique game modes are Ultimate Team and career mode. In Ultimate Team, players must assemble a team with good chemistry, while career mode features scouting and other elements from soccer managers. Exclusive to this version are tournaments, FIFA Interactive World Cup, Be a Pro, Head to Head, and the Creation Centre mode.
