Jurassic: The Hunted is a first-person shooter game where players control Craig Dylan, a survival expert. In 1983, an expedition to the Bermuda Triangle disappeared, but almost 30 years later, Dr. Sayrus' daughter receives a distress signal from the lost team. Dylan joins the investigation team, which includes a plane strike by a storm, and all members parachute down to an island filled with dinosaurs.
The environment is dense jungle, fortifications, and volcano areas, where players must fight thirteen different types of dinosaurs, including velociraptors, pterosaurs, triceratops, tyrannosaurs, and more. Dylan also has access to an Adrenaline Burst that slows down the action for more accurate shots, lighting up the dinosaurs' weak spots in a bright color. The game features thirteen weapons at his disposal, ranging from civil war rifles to crossbows with explosive arrows and futuristic plasma rifles.
Next to the regular story mode with twelve levels, there is a survivor mode where players can go against an endless wave of dinosaurs. During the regular mode, scattered pieces of new weapons can be found and assembled, becoming available in the survivor mode.
