The 2010 edition of WWE SmackDown vs. Raw brings new features to the series of professional wrestling fighting games. Players take on the role of a wrestler, competing in career matches or quick single bouts against human or computer-controlled opponents. A custom character can be created with the Create-A-Superstar tool, which includes 3D apparel and decorations.
Gameplay has been modified to include more grapple moves and a new training mode for beginners. The two-button system has been replaced by timing-based reversals, where players must press the correct button at the right moment. In the PS3/Xbox 360 versions, online sharing is available, allowing players to share their wrestlers, shows, and moves.
