Warriors Orochi , developed by Koei, is a crossover between Koei's Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors franchises. The Serpent King, Orochi, has made a rift in time and taken the most powerful warriors from the Sengoku period of Japan, and China's Three Kingdoms era for a showdown of the ages.
Warriors Orochi features hack-and-slash gameplay with a team of three playable characters, each with their own unique abilities. You can rotate between your active characters at any time, while your inactive teammates will recuperate during downtime. If your active character dies, you'll have to restart the mission or load a saved game.
With 79 playable characters from Dynasty Warriors 5 and Samurai Warriors 2, as well as two new combatants, you're spoiled for choice. The Weapon Fusion technique allows you to combine different weapons into a single stronger one, adding depth to the gameplay.
The game features four unrelated story campaigns: Shu, Wei, Wu, and Samurai Warriors Story, each with its own unlockable characters, weapons, and items. You can also use any character in any stage you've already completed in the Free Mode.
Warriors Orochi offers local co-op play for up to two players in split-screen mode.
