Hole-In-One Miniature Golf provides an overhead view of each hole. The gameplay is controlled entirely with the mouse. You place the ball on the starting pad and click the left mouse button. Once you have placed the ball, "stretch" a line from the ball to the pointer. The direction the line is pointing is the direction the ball will go. The length of the line or the distance between the pointer and the ball is relative to the power on the shot. Once you are satisfied, click the left mouse button to putt the ball.
You can try to beat your score by playing three shots over par, but going more than that will give you a penalty stroke and force you to move on to the next hole or player. You'll also get a penalty if you land in the water hazard. Your final scorecard will be shown after completing nine holes, and you can view it anytime using the Options Menu. After finishing the course, your final scorecard will be displayed again, letting you print your scores or continue playing.
The game features five different 18-hole courses with unique themes: a Tutorial Course that teaches you how to play, an Intermediate Course with obstacles and challenges, a Fantasy Course with magical designs like castles and pinball elements, and an Expert Course for experienced players. The game can be installed on a hard drive.
