Defenders of Oasis is set many years after the legendary king Jamseed's victory over Ahriman. The kingdom of Shanadar is under threat once again as Zahhark's descendants aim to destroy it. You play as the young Prince of Shanadar, who must seek aid from a neighboring country and gather allies to help him defeat the evil.

The gameplay involves exploring different locations, buying and finding items, and engaging in turn-based combat with random enemies and bosses. The battle system is viewed from a first-person perspective, adding to the sense of immersion in the game world.
