Space Marauder , a scrolling shooter game, follows the story of the Burai, an evil race of aliens, as they launch a plan to conquer the universe using their army of robo-mutants. The player must strap on their jet pack and become the ultimate Burai Fighter to stop them.
The gameplay of Space Marauder features two modes of play, with most levels offering side- and vertical-scrolling with pre-designed layouts. A few levels offer a top-down perspective with randomized layouts. The player is armed with various weapons, including laser guns, missiles, rings, and the powerful cobalt bomb, which can clear entire screens.
