The game Congo Bongo is an action & adventure game where you control a safari hunter searching for an ape named Bongo . The hunter's tent was set on fire by Bongo, and now it's up to the hunter to punish him. You'll navigate through four one-screen stages, aiming to reach the top while avoiding obstacles and enemies.
Gameplay involves jumping and avoiding enemy attacks since the hero has no offensive abilities. Animals like a gorilla will try to stop you by throwing coconuts or other objects at you. Hazards on the platforms can also end your journey if not navigated properly.
