The Journey Begins
With the Netherworld entrance firmly closed off, Shakyamuni entrusted the high priest Kakurenbo with the 'Magic-Breaking Bead.' Kakurenbo was ordered to use this Buddhist implement to defeat demons, the dead, and the Demon King.
Grasping the bead, Kakurenbo began his journey through the netherworld.
Game Overview
•
Side-view action shooting game themed around the netherworld.
•
Operate the protagonist, Kakurenbo, with an 8-direction lever and attack with a button.
•
Touching the Jizo (Bodhisattva) at the final point of each round clears the round.
•
Taking an enemy's attack or falling into a danger zone causes a miss, decreasing the stock.
•
Game Over occurs when the player stock runs out.
•
Picking up items powers up the protagonist.
•
Clear all rounds to solve the Demon King's secret and bring peace to the netherworld.
•
Player stock increases by 1 UP based on score and items.

Magic-Breaking Orb Mechanics
•
The ball breaks after bouncing a predetermined number of times.
•
The number of bounces increases with items.
•
It bounces back when it hits a wall.
•
The number of orbs displayed on the screen represents the consecutive count.
•
Consecutive fire starts at 2 shots but increases by taking items.
Special Orbs
•
Three types of Special Orbs are available upon obtaining items.
•
Special Orbs use a stock system: taking an item increases the stock by 1, and using one decreases it by 1.
•
You can stock up to 4 of each type.
•
The size of the orbs increases as you obtain more of the same type.
•
Perform a crouching throw to create flashing orbs; the special effect triggers when the orb breaks after rolling for a few bounces.
•
Players cannot choose the type; it is always the "last type obtained." Obtain an item of the desired type to switch.
•
Stock is not cleared by player misses or restarts via Continue.
•
Orb color indicates the current type, size, and remaining stock.
•
Destructive power remains constant as the orb grows; only the hit range increases.
