Red Faction II takes place long after the revolt on Mars, where a new group has taken over Red Faction and is seeking revenge against Chancellor Sopot, the dictator who created the nano-technology enhanced soldiers. The goal is to free Mars from Sopot's control and eliminate yourself along with others.
The gameplay in Red Faction II revolves around using the Geo-Mod technology to destroy your surroundings and progress through levels. You can blast through walls, delete security keys, and take down enemies by destroying the floor they stand on. Vehicles also play a crucial role in completing objectives.
