Slinky is a game where you control a spring and jump from block to block, trying to change all the blocks to a specific color. The game has a clear influence from Q*Bert. However, there are some original elements as well.
The game features various objects floating about on the screen, including magnets, clouds, raindrops, and other obstacles. Monsters are the main threat, while magnets can only grab you if you're not moving. Raindrops increase your speed greatly, but clouds make you 'dusty', and getting hit by both can cause your spring to rust.
The game requires careful management of five lives and points. Bonus squares appear briefly on the screen, offering 8000 points. Catching some of these bonuses is essential, as losing points increases with each jump, and getting hurt or falling off blocks decreases them even faster.
