The Hogwarts Legacy experience is set in the late 1800s and follows a young student's journey to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. As you begin your time at the school, you'll choose your house, attend classes, master spells, uncover hidden secrets, and confront magical creatures in an immersive world. The game offers an open-world environment where you can explore various locations, including Hogsmeade village and the Forbidden Forest.
Combat in Hogwarts Legacy is fast-paced and spell-casting driven. You'll select your playstyle and upgrade your skills to become a more formidable wizard. The combat system prioritizes intuitive gameplay, allowing you to quickly cast spells and dodge incoming attacks. As you progress, you'll unlock powerful magical artifacts, such as wands and robes, to enhance your abilities.
The game also features various mini-games, crafting options, and character customization tools. Create a unique character by adjusting your appearance, including choosing your gender. The dynamic day-night cycle and weather system add to the overall atmosphere, making the experience even more engaging.
Exclusive content can be found on the PS5 version of Hogwarts Legacy , which also includes additional quests and rewards.
A special quest called Haunted Hogsmeade allows players to investigate a mysterious shop in Hogsmeade village. Completing this quest unlocks access to the shop, where you can sell items and gear, and receive exclusive cosmetic rewards. This quest was later made available on other platforms through a free update.
Pre-orders for the PS5 version of Hogwarts Legacy include a bonus item: Felix Felicis potion recipe, also known as "liquid luck." This allows players to see gear chests in the mini-map for one day.
