Overall Flow
When you run LIFESTAGE for the first time, be sure to take a look at the sample house data. This is your ticket to an imaginary world the likes of which you've never experienced. Use this as a reference later on when you are creating house data of your own.
The general workflow involves viewing a sample, entering edit mode to create a house, modeling the house structure, arranging the interior, and saving your progress. You can reload previously created houses for a realistic demo where objects perform actions when touched.
Interior Design Steps
1.
Arrange the Room Layout
Think about and arrange the room layout. Later, connect the rooms with doors and stairs. Select the outside scenery visible from the windows at this stage.
2.
Save Progress
Save the house data at any point if you are satisfied or wish to stop. Use the REAL DEMO option in INTERIOR DESIGN to check the room immediately after arranging the inside.
3.
Perform an On-Screen Check
The CHECK MODE screen appears with the selected pattern affixed to the room. Use the control pad to view higher and lower perspectives. Confirm the pattern by pressing the A button, or press B to choose another.
4.
Choose Wall and Floor Patterns
Return to the main menu to select WALL and FLOOR patterns. For walls, choose between SINGLE or COMBINATION patterns. Proceed as you did for ceilings.
5.
Select FURNITURE
With the touch cursor displayed, press A to open the OBJECT SELECTION MENU. Select [FURNITURE] from the list.
6.
Select a Specific Object
An object list with further classifications appears. Select [WARDROBE] and choose the desired color variation. Confirm your selection.
7.
Rotate and Check
The wardrobe rotates on screen. Check the orientation and confirm by pressing A, or press B to choose again.
8.
Place the Object
Move the wardrobe up, down, left, and right using the directional pad, and forward and backward using L+R. Move it to the desired location and confirm placement. End placement by pressing B.
Realistic Demo
When operations are complete, the room is finished. You can view the result using REALISTIC DEMO from the INTERIOR MENU. Press B to access the menu and select [REAL DEMO].
In this mode, the room is displayed as if you are inside. You can walk around and observe the room from various directions. Use the control pad to move left, right, up, and down. Hold down B while using the directional pad to change viewpoints or navigate narrow areas.
To add more objects, press B to return to the object selection steps.
