The game Pure puts you behind the handlebars of an All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) - better known as a Quad Bike - where you have to build your own Quad Bikes from scratch. You can choose from various options for suspension, engine, and handle bars, which will affect how your bike behaves.
Playing through the World Tour single player campaign, you unlock new parts by winning events and collecting flags hidden on the track. Some parts are purely cosmetic, while others impact your bike's stats and come in different versions. This decision is crucial, especially when it comes to boost handling, which affects your speed advantage.
The gameplay involves choosing between tricks that give you more or less boost, depending on their difficulty. As you gain boost, you unlock more advanced and professional tricks, forcing you to decide how to balance trick performance with speed. Meanwhile, game modes like freestyle require you to perform tricks to earn points, with power-ups scattered around the map adding an extra layer of strategy.
