Jinks was released for the Atari 7800 in 1989 and introduced several new elements to the Breakout genre. Players had greater control over their paddle, allowing for horizontal and vertical movement, as well as the ability to flip it.
The objective is to survive on the planet Jinks - an exploration mission has turned sour. Hazards include objects that can destroy the paddle or reduce its size. The ball's position also allows for screen shaking.
