Championship Paintball 2009 , a first-person paintball game for the Playstation 3, lets you play on real-life tournament locations and use official branded gear. You can choose from different professional players with unique statistics and teams to play with. In the career mode, your character starts as a lower-ranked player and earning credits by winning matches allows you to upgrade your gear and equipment. Attributes like speed, accuracy, communication, marker handling, and reload can be upgraded to 40.
The game also features the ability to create your own paintball field. You can play in single-player modes like capture-the-flag or online multiplayer with up to fourteen players. There are over 35 tournaments with regulation professional fields, including an Exhibition Mode that allows you to play Woodsball and Speedball together. In this mode, you can use a cheat to wipe out a hit by timing a swinging bar in the cheat meter.
