Ayrton Senna's Super Monaco GP II was released in 1992 for the Sega Genesis console. The game is based on the real-life racing career of Ayrton Senna, who won six Monaco Grand Prix titles and three Formula One world championships.
The gameplay revolves around three main modes: Senna GP, World Championship, and Free Practice. In Senna GP, players compete in a preliminary race followed by three laps on three non-championship circuits. The World Championship mode features the full 16-race season, with two variations: Beginner and Master.
The Master mode introduces new challenges, such as five groups of cars and longer races with pit-stops. Players must challenge drivers from other teams to climb the ranks and claim the title. In Free Practice, players can drive on any race without championship positions, allowing them to set their own goals and conditions.
Regardless of mode, the core gameplay involves selecting controller settings, choosing between Automatic or Manual transmission with 4 or 7 speeds gearbox, and racing against 16 drivers. Be cautious, as the car can be instantly wrecked if it goes at top speed against an object on the track.
