Magical Chase is a 2D side-scrolling shoot 'em up set in a fantasy world. Game's heroine is a little witch called Ripple, who is flying on a magic broomstick. The gameplay is typical for the genre: Ripple flights from left to right and shoots enemies. She has two sidekicks - anthropomorphic stars called Star Maidens, which work like the options of Gradius. When she destroys enemies, they will leave behind different colored gemstones, which serve as the game's currency that can be used in special shop.
The game has six stages, and each level has a mid-boss and an end boss. Players must use Ripple's abilities and her sidekicks to overcome these challenges and progress through the levels.

Wall Town is a side-scrolling action game in which the player navigates through six distinct environments to reach the Demon King's sanctuary. The player battles enemies in a cheerful town, a deceptive animal-filled ruin, an air battleship, a treasure-laden maze, and the demon's homeland. The journey culminates in a final shrine stage that notably lacks the in-game shop for purchasing items.
Story
Wall Town
A town of flamboyant and cheerful people. The Rainbow Bridge is a sight to see.
Ruins
Paradise for animals. Watch out for demons disguised as animals.
Dual Snake
An air battleship protecting the kingdom's skies. Watch out for attacks from the hatch.
Block Maze
A giant labyrinth between the kingdom and the demon world. Don't be dazzled by the treasure.
Hell Fire
The homeland of the demons. The enemies become even stronger.
Sunctuary
The shrine where the Demon King is enshrined. There is no Jack's shop in this final stage.

Card Care

Avoid using or storing the card under extreme temperature, humidity, or strong shocks.

Keep terminals dry and avoid touching them to prevent malfunctions.

Gently wipe dirty terminals with soft gauze or gauze soaked in ethyl alcohol.

Story Introduction
Ripple broke her promise with her strict witch master by eating the fruit of the forbidden tree, 'The Devil That Can Be Begotten'. Six demons emerged from the tree and ran away.
To prevent Ripple from being turned into a frog as punishment, she must capture these six demons. Set off on an adventure with your star spirit friends, Kururun and Kurulun.

Game Content
Operate Ripple and the Star Fairies "Kururun" and "Kururun" to fight against demons. Defeat the great demon at the end of a stage to clear it. Safely defeat all six great demons to clear the game.
Select Screen
Select the game difficulty first:

Relaxing: A mode for getting used to the game. Includes all 33 stages.

Exciting: You can play all stages.

Suspenseful: The demons' attacks become more intense.
Strategy Tips

Use Star Fairies: Ripple is still practicing witchcraft, so use the power of the Star Fairies to overcome obstacles.

Collect Crystals: Defeat enemies to drop crystals. Collect them to exchange for magic or items.
β’
Jack's Shop: Bump into balloons marked "SHOP" to enter.
β’
Align the cursor with an item using cross buttons and press II to buy.
β’
Align the cursor with "EXIT" and press II to leave.
β’
Exchange crystals for power or recover HP.
β’
Special Magic: When surrounded by demons and HP is low, quickly tap the II button to escape the crisis.
Game Over
When it is Game Over, the Continue screen appears. Use cross buttons to choose whether to continue or quit.

Equipment and crystals are lost upon continuing.
β’
You can continue any number of times.
How to Use Options Effectively
The key to strategy is skillfully using the two options: *Hoshi no Sei* and *Gurun & Kurun*. Judge enemy attack patterns and appearance directions to determine position and attack direction.
Defense
Options act as a barrier against enemy bullets with black patterns.
Offense
Using items allows for three stages of power-up for the option's attack power.
Option Operations

Front Attacks: If mob enemies swarm and attack from the front, adjust position accordingly.

Above and Below Attacks: Handle attacks from vertical directions.

Rear Attacks: You can also attack the rear.
β’
Caution: Some enemies release the fixation of the *Hoshi no Sei* (Star Spirit).

No-Mar Shotto
A weak one-hit magic where Ripple bounces and spreads.
Bounce Shotto
Bounces back when it hits terrain or a demon.
Zurai YΓ»ei
Flies in 3 directions, attacking a wide range.
Suiin Shotto
Scatters spherical light magic.
Barugan
Low power, but capable of continuous firing.
Hoomingu
A shooting star that flies toward demons.
Aburu Shotto
A bubble mass that deals damage with a shockwave on impact.
Unee Bi
A wide wave of light that branches out in 3 directions.
Sugere ru!
A penetrating bullet 4 times as powerful as No-Mar Shotto.
Kura-o Hoato
Shot power doubles.
Saikuron
Shot power doubles and additionally penetrates demons.
Haibaa Suta
Star spirits stop enemy piercing bullets (black-rimmed ones on-screen with no small demons).
Sutaahohoh
Effective for about 15 seconds.
Haa To
Recovers Ripple's health by 2 hearts. Also erases bullets.
Houki
Changes Ripple's speed. There are 3 types.
Kusuri
Restores health to the maximum. The price increases each time you buy one.
Inochi no Jaku
Increases maximum health by 1 heart. The price gradually increases.
Erikusa
When health reaches zero, it automatically recovers to the maximum. The price gradually increases.
Recovery Items
Sometimes this comes out instead of crystals when you hit enemies.
