About

Deep Silver is the primary publishing label of Plaion (formerly Koch Media). The company is widely recognized for publishing prominent video game franchises such as Saints Row, Dead Island, and Metro. It operates globally, releasing titles across multiple console generations and PC.
Established as a division to expand publishing operations, the label initially built its portfolio by distributing and publishing a diverse range of niche and mainstream titles. Early software offerings spanned various genres, including simulation and sports titles such as Horse Life 2 (2004), Horse Life 3 (2004), and Ski Racing 2006 (2005). The publisher also targeted action and lifestyle sports audiences with the release of Crusty Demons (2006).
In the mid-2000s, the brand expanded its catalog with urban-themed and billiards titles, publishing Hustle Detroit Streets (2005) and its subsequent release The Hustle: Detroit Streets (2007). During this period, the label secured distribution rights for major console releases, which included handling the Saints Row [Platinum Hits] (2006) edition.
