The Namco Museum Encore is the final PlayStation installment of the Namco Museum series, featuring an eclectic selection of Namco arcade games from the early eighties to the nineties. The collection includes titles such as King & Balloon, where you man a cannon on a castle wall and stop balloons from kidnapping your king, reminiscent of Galaxian.
The gameplay is diverse, with Motos, a top-down bumper car game where you push opponents off the board, and Sky Kid, a side-scrolling flying shooter starring the Red Baron. Other games include Rolling Thunder, an arcade version of a side-scrolling espionage shooter, Wonder Momo, a platformer featuring an alien invasion, Rompers, a maze-collecting game with cute monsters similar to Pacman, and Dragon Saber, a vertical shooting game with a dragon.
Additionally, the package includes instruction cards, character sketches, and various advertising information. A set of memory card labels with the Namco logo and drawings from the games is also included. The Namco Museum Encore has only been released in Japan on October 30th, 1997.
