Last Ninja 3 sees you as Armakuni, the Last Ninja, drawn into another battle with evil Shogun Kunitoki. The battle will take place among the temples of Tibet, where the Last Ninja's mystical strength originates. The Shogun intends to corrupt these Buddhist temples, destroying the source of power for Armakuni and his emerging Ninja brotherhood. Armakuni must stop the Shogun's evil scheme.
Last Ninja 3 retains a mix of martial arts combat, puzzles involving objects found on your way, and navigating obstacles. It also introduces Bushido, necessary to complete each level. Bushido is earned by fighting honorably, using the same weapon as enemies or in hand-to-hand combat, and not fleeing from battle.
The levels correspond to the elements that make up a Ninja's power: Earth, Water, Wind, Fire, and Void.
