The player's goal is to raise a top-notch thoroughbred horse to become the best in the world derby. The player must navigate an intricate menu system to select a horse from the stables, place bets at the betting shop, visit the track to see if the chosen horse wins, and shop for equipment using available funds.

The gameplay involves racing the selected horse, managing funds, and upgrading equipment to improve chances of winning. With each race won, the player earns more funds and moves up the ranks on the race board.
