Released around the same time as the film Double Dragon and loosely based on its story, this installment in the series moves away from traditional roam-the-streets-fighting to a pure one-on-one fighter. There are ten characters to choose from, including Billy and Jimmy, and the game has colorful interactive backgrounds, screen zooming, over-the-top special moves and with the inclusion of double jumps, combos, charges for the losing player and counter hits, there is plenty of room for advanced fighting strategies.
The gameplay is fast-paced and action-packed, requiring players to use their reflexes and strategy to take down their opponents. With a variety of attacks and defensive maneuvers at their disposal, players can customize their fighting style to suit their preferences. The inclusion of special moves and combos adds an extra layer of depth to the game, making it challenging for even the most experienced players.
