Real Bout Fatal Fury Special was the sequel to Real Bout Fatal Fury , with which sixth delivery of the series was arrived at his. In this version, we had 20 characters, including Terry Bogard, Andy Bogard, Joe Higashi, Mai Shiranui, Tung Fu Rue, Cheng Chinzan, Laurence Blood, Wolfgang Krauser, Duck King, Kim Kaphwan, Blue Mary, Hon-Fu, Bob Wilson, Mochizuki Sokaku, Franco Bash, Ryuji Yamazaki, Jin Chonshu, Jin Chonrei, Billy Kane and Geese Howard. Their aspects are 100% remodeled.
The game maintains the capacity to destroy some things of the fight zone, while offering a challenging experience for players with its new gameplay mechanics.

This fighting game, a sequel to REAL BOUT, pits various warriors against each other in a tournament to prove their strength and skill. Players choose a character and engage in one-on-one combat to emerge victorious.
Story
Prologue
A banquet of battles does not satisfy the burning appetites of a warrior's soul.
A fast of inactivity since the fierce battle of REAL BOUT comes to an end. Now, the lone wolves are hungry to show what they're really made of.
The supreme proving ground has been prepared: REAL BOUT SPECIAL begins!

SOKAKU MOCHIZUKI
Uses Possession Blast, Wild Ape Hunting, and Demon God techniques. Can also perform The Wailer, Hell's Lightning, and Mochizuki Phantom.
HON-FU
Fights with Kowloon's Premonition, Blazing Nunchucks, and Heavenly Lightning. Also uses Dragon Retribution, Exploding Goro, and Storm of Gadenza.
BLUE MARY
Attacks with Straight Slice, Vertical Arrow, and Spin Fall. Her special moves include Back Drop, M. Splash Rose, and M. Cyclone.
BOB WILSON
Utilizes Rolling Turtle, Monkey Dance, and Rolling Sea Turtle. His powerful attacks are Wild Wolf, Dangerous Wolf, and Mad Spin Wolf.
BILLY KANE
Wields a cudgel with moves like Cudgel Cruncher, Dragon Counter, and Sparrow Drop. His signature attacks are Whirlwind Cudgel, Super Fire Wheel, and Whirlwind Smack.
KIM KAPHWAN
Known for Half Moon Slice, Sandblast Bash, and Flying Slice. He also uses Flying Kick, Phoenix Dance, and Phoenix Flattener.
FRANCO BASH
Fights with Zapper, Double Kong, and Meteor Charge. His powerful moves include Guts Dunk, Megaton Crunch, and Armageddon Buster.
JIN CHONSHU
Uses Emperor God Bop, Imperial Eye, and Emperor Heaven Smash. His special techniques are Heaven's Clairvoyance, Imperial Drain, and Imperial Void.
JIN CHONREI
Attacks with Emperor God Bop, Emperor Crunch, and Emperor Countenance. His unique moves include Emperor Drain, Imperial Void, and Imperial Dragon.
DUCK KING
Fights with Head Spin Attack, Dancing Dive, and Neo Break Storm. His special moves are Cross Head Spin, Break Spiral, and Duck Dance.
JOE HIGASHI
Known for Slash Kick, Tiger Kick, and Pressure Knee. His powerful attacks include Exploding Hurricane, Screw Upper, and Sliding Screw.
TERRY BOGARD
Uses Burn Knuckle, Power Dunk, and Power Wave. His signature moves are Power Charge, Power Geyser, and Triple Geyser.
TUNG FU RUE
Fights with Air Spin Jab, Thousand Kicks, and Furious Face Shot. His special techniques are Spirit Wave, Giant Whirlwind, and Shock Blow.
CHENG SINZAN
Attacks with Tempest Blast, Avalanche Crunch, and Belly Blast. His powerful moves include Reverse Orbital Pellet, Exploding Thunder, and Fall of Creation.
Andy Bogard
A fighter with various special moves including Quicksilver Flash, Dragon Blast, and Exploding Shaker. He also has a powerful Ultra Break Blast and Quicksilver Break.
Laurence Blood
Utilizes a Kinder, Gentler Bloody Spin, Bloody Saber, and Bloody Axis. His special moves include Bloody Flash and the Certain-Death Bloodletter.
Wolfgang Krauser
Known for his Blitz Ball, Phoenix Thrust, and "To-the-Moon" Blow. His most devastating attacks are Kaiser Wave and Gigantic Cyclone.
Mai Shiranui
A ninja with graceful attacks such as Kacho Sen, Sunfire Samba, and Musasabi Mai. Her powerful moves include Super Ninja Bees and Wild Peony of Pain.
Kim Kap Hwan
A Tae Kwon Do master with Crescent Moon Slash, Flying Slice, and Destruction Drubber. His special moves include Rising Phoenix Dance and Phoenix Flashdance.
HON FU
Hon Fu is a character with moves like Nine Dragons Drubbing, Confident Counterattack, and Heavenly Lightning on the Earth.
JIN CHON SHU
Jin Chon Shu is a character who can perform moves like Emperor God Bop, Eyes of Emperor Crunch, and Empire Heaven Smash.
JIN CHON REI
Jin Chon Rei is a character with moves such as Emperor God Bop, Imperial Disembodied Thrash, and Eyes of Emperor Crunch.
RYUJI YAMAZAKI
Ryuji Yamazaki is a character with attacks including Forward Serpent Slash, Bomb Bopper, and SadoMaso.
How to Play
NOTES ON USAGE
MEMORY CARD-BACKUP
A NEO GEO Memory Card (sold separately) allows you to save and load game progress. Insert the memory card into the console's memory card slot.
TO LOAD (Retrieving Data)
If the NEO GEO Memory Card is inserted correctly, the "LOAD DATA" screen will appear. Use the joystick to select "YES" and push Button A to resume play.
TO SAVE (Recording Data)
If the NEO GEO Memory Card is inserted correctly, after a game has ended, the "SAVE DATA" screen will appear. Use the joystick to select "YES" and push Button A to save data. Some software saves data automatically during play.
You cannot save data for a game more than once. Saving new data for a game on a memory card will automatically erase previous data for the same game.
FORMATTING CARDS
Newly purchased NEO GEO Memory Cards are not formatted. Before using a new card, follow these procedures to format it.
•
Correctly insert a NEO GEO game cassette and memory card into the console.
•
While holding down all buttons (A to D) on the Player 1 controller, push the RESET button on the Home System console.
•
When the "MEMORY CARD UTILITY MENU" appears, select "FORMAT" and follow the on-screen instructions.
•
Press Button A when formatting is completed.
PLAYING THE GAME
STARTING PLAY
Push the START button during the opening sequence to call up the "MODE SELECT" screen. Move the joystick up or down to select "GAME START" and push Button A.
After the playing instructions demonstration, select a character and your first opponent (computer player) with the joystick and push Button A to begin the game. Push any button (A to D) to skip the playing instructions demonstration.
TWO-PLAYER & BURST-IN PLAY
Press the START button on the Player 1 and Player 2 controllers to start Two-Player Play. During 1-player computer battles, press the START button on the unused controller to begin "Burst-In" 2-player battles.
CONTINUE
When you lose a match, the continue countdown will begin. Push the START button before the count reaches "0" to continue play.
OPTION MODE
In the "MODE SELECT" screen, move the joystick up or down to select "OPTION" and push Button A to call up the "CONFIGURATION" screen. Move the joystick up and down to select the item to change and move the joystick left or right to alter settings.
LEVEL
Change computer battle difficulty among 8 levels, with "1" being the easiest and "8" the hardest.
GAME TIME
Change round times to 1 of 4 levels: 45, 60, 90 and ∞ (no time limit).
LANGUAGE
Change the language for screen message displays among 4 languages: Japanese, English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
PAD CONFIGURATION
Select this item and push Button A to call up the "PAD CONFIGURATION" screen to change controller button settings. Select the button setting to be changed by moving the joystick up or down and press the button you want to use. Push the SELECT button to return to the "PAD CONFIGURATION" screen.
EXIT
Select this item and push Button A to return to the "MODE SELECT™" screen.
