In Free Flight Mode, the player can visit unique landmarks and collect diorama's of planes and monuments or balloons and stunt rings. The more items are collected, the more time the player is given to explore, gradually increasing the range of the island that is available. In Mission Mode, the player earns stars for completing goals such as flying through hoops, landing the aircraft in an exact spot or shooting targets. The better the player meets the parameters, the more stars are earned, up to three stars per mission. The stars add up towards a new rank, starting with Training, then Bronze, Silver, Gold and finally Platinum.
