Gorf is a Colecovision action & adventure game that consists of five levels. The first level, Astro Battles , has the player's ship behind a defensive shield, defending against an alien attack in a top-down view. This level bears resemblance to Space Invaders.

The gameplay involves navigating through each level, avoiding enemy attacks and destroying enemy ships. In some levels, bonus ships appear that can be destroyed for extra points. The game requires quick reflexes and strategic thinking to progress through the levels.
