Track Meet , released in 1992, is an Olympic-style sports game that puts players up against five opponents in seven different events: a 100 meter sprint, Hurdles, Javelin Throw, Pole Vault, Long Jump, Discus Throw, and Weight Lifting. The goal is to accumulate the most points by performing well in each event, while also managing to outdo your competitors.
Gameplay involves competing against these opponents in each event, with each one having its own strengths and weaknesses. Points are awarded based on performance, and players can practice each event to improve their skills. The game also features a two-player mode via the Game Link cable, allowing friends or family members to compete against each other.
