Rainbow Islands , a sequel to the classic platformer Bubble Bobble , follows Bub and Bob as they become small boys on a mission to rid the Rainbow Islands of evil forces. The game takes place vertically, with four levels per island, each culminating in a big boss fight.
Players must use the power of rainbows to trap enemies underneath, then jump on them to break them, while collecting seven different colored gems and power-ups for extra speed and additional rainbow abilities.
