ProStroke Golf: World Tour 2007 is a golf simulation with a unique control scheme. Instead of playing in third person, the game simulates the experience in first person mode. When choosing a club and setting up your feet position, you need to use both analog sticks - one for swinging and one for moving your body weight. It's not just about moving the right way, but also about achieving a constant back-and-forth movement.
Using a gamepad is essential for this innovative control scheme, as it allows for precise body movement. However, there is an alternative traditional three-click control scheme in 3rd person mode, where you can choose your body weight movement before striking the ball. In this version, each click determines a different aspect of the swing: the first click strikes the ball, the second click sets precision, and the third click sets strength.
The game's playing modes are more standard, featuring training, single tournaments, and career mode. Career mode is an interesting take on traditional sports games, where your player character improves with successes, but this only affects the tournament conditions, not gameplay itself.
ProStroke Golf: World Tour 2007 includes nine licensed golfers, 18 courses (two licensed), and three real-life golf commentators. The game also allows you to build and customize your own courses and tournaments using the editor.
