Pandemonium 2 is a sequel to Pandemonium , where the player controls Nikki, a young sorceress, and Fargus, her court jester friend with his puppet companion Sid. The year of Cheese has begun, and the Comet of Infinite Possibilities is predicted by the great prophet Nosewasinit. Nikki and Fargus aim to reach the comet before the evil Goon Queen Zorrscha uses it for her own plans.
The gameplay in Pandemonium 2 follows a similar path as its predecessor; despite the 3D graphics, the gameplay relies on 2D platformer mechanics. Players can choose between Nikki and Fargus for each level, with distinct abilities for each character. For example, Nikki has better jumping capabilities, while Fargus utilizes his puppet Sid for various attacks. The characters can also acquire power-ups, such as ranged fire and lightning attacks for Nikki or enhanced Sid abilities for Fargus.
The game features a variety of items, vehicles, and level-specific challenges that the heroes will encounter during their quest to reach the comet.
