Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja 5 is a fighting game developed by CyberConnect2 and is the last installment of the Ultimate Ninja series for the Playstation 2.

The story follows Naruto's return to Konoha after the events of its predecessor, at the end of the Sasuke and Sai arc. Naruto will take on a more powerful group of enemies, with reliance on his friends and skills to proceed. The game primarily focuses on adding content that its predecessor lacked. The game contains 62 new characters, as well as updated jutsus and assist characters.

The gameplay involves one-on-one matches between the player's character and an opponent. Players can use a variety of techniques such as jutsus and ninja tools to gain an advantage over their opponents. The game features a mode where players can play through the story, as well as a versus mode where they can compete against friends.
