RC Toy Machines is a single-player, keyboard-controlled racing game that also supports joystick control. The game features three main modes: Tournament, Quick Race, and Time Trial. In the game, players can race around seven courses, including Garden 1 & Garden 2, Bedroom 1 & Bedroom 2, Games Room 1 & Games Room 2, and Garage 1 & Garage 2.
The player's goal is to win tournaments, which unlock new courses and vehicles. The Quick Race mode allows players to practice the available courses, specifying the number of laps and opponents from zero to five. The game also features a variety of cars with different colors and styles, but no indication of their performance differences.
Players can access additional courses and vehicles by winning tournaments, which provides a sense of progression and challenge in the game. The "Nitro Boost" function gives a temporary speed boost to the player's vehicle, adding an element of strategy to the racing experience.
RC Toy Machines was released on PlayStation 2 on November 24, 2000, and is a fun, accessible racing game for players of all ages.
