Rig Racer 2 is an arcade-style truck racing game where you choose from eight trucks to race on four conventional tracks. The game has three difficulty settings for single race, time trial, and challenge modes, as well as a two-player split-screen racing mode.
The player starts with access to four rigs in the PC and PlayStation 2 versions, but only gets to use two of the eight rigs in the Wii version. You can unlock more rigs and tracks by earning in-game currency through completing races. Additional features include time of day options, a mirror mode, and choosing between 3, 5, or 10 laps for each course.
The game is not a sequel to an existing title.
