This is the latest installment of the Capcom/SNK crossover series ; this time around not developed by Capcom, but by SNK - hence the change in title from "Capcom vs SNK" to " SNK vs Capcom ". It's again an oldschool-style 2D beat'em'up with a wide selection of characters from SNK's and Capcom's classic Beat'em'Up series.

The story mode features a variety of modes, including an "Ultimate" mode that allows players to select a team of four fighters and take on opponents in a unique format. The gameplay is fast-paced and action-packed, with a range of special moves and combos available to each character.
