Saving and Loading
This game supports multiple memory cards. To save your progress, ensure a memory card (8MB) (for PlayStation®2) with at least 71kb of free space is inserted before playing. Saving and loading occur at various points.
If you create a new profile, it will be saved automatically upon completion. If you play using an existing profile, the game will be loaded automatically. New Personal Bests or rewards (like medals) are saved automatically.
When saving, you may be prompted to overwrite a previous save file. Select your desired option and press the button to confirm. Game data auto-loads on boot up. If multiple memory cards are inserted and both contain saved data, the data from MEMORY CARD slot 1 (or MEMORY CARD slot 1-A) will auto-load.
SALT LAKE 2002 saves multiplayer game data to the lowest inserted memory card (the "host"). If there are fewer memory cards than players, additional players' profiles will be saved to the host. Ensure all necessary controllers and memory cards are connected. For all players' results to be updated, they MUST have a memory card inserted.
You need a memory card with at least 71Kb of free space to save a player profile in SALT LAKE 2002.
