The Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock game is the sixth main title in the rhythm game series. It focuses on the band experience, allowing up to four people to sing vocals, or play lead and bass/rhythm guitar, and drums. The music selection for this version returns to its roots with a focus on rock 'n roll songs.
The game's main career mode is called the Quest mode. In this campaign, players must defeat a mechanized creature called the Beast by helping save the Demigod of Rock. To progress, players must complete songs in their chosen genre, which will help them recruit characters to join their band. Each successful completion earns a character new powers and allows them to be added to the band's roster.
Other game modes include Quickplay+ and Party mode. In Party mode, one or multiple players can play different songs like in a jukebox, with the ability to drop in or out at any time. The Wii version adds DS functionality with the Roadie mode, which supports up to eight players simultaneously.
Players can also use previously bought tracks from other games in the series, adding more variety to their gameplay experience.
Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock was released on September 24, 2010, for the Playstation 3.
