Medal of Honor: Airborne follows Boyd Travers as he joins the 82d Airborne Division and embarks on a mission to free Europe from enemy control. His journey takes him across Italy, France, the Netherlands, and Germany, where he must complete various objectives, including taking out enemy tanks, rescuing fellow soldiers, and destroying anti-aircraft weapons.

The gameplay in Medal of Honor: Airborne is a first-person shooter experience, with a focus on intense action and strategy. Players can choose from a variety of loadout options, including access to enemy weapons and upgrades earned through exceptional performance. The game also features a unique health system, where players have four beads of health that regenerate over time.

The multiplayer mode offers three options for up to 12 players, including Team Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch Airborne, and Objective. In these modes, players can team up with their allies or compete against the Axis forces in a battle for control.
