As part of the 82d Airborne Division, Boyd Travers must complete several missions in Italy, France, the Netherlands, and Germany to free Europe from enemy control. He fights alongside AI colleagues to complete objectives such as blowing up anti-aircraft weapons, rescuing fellow soldiers, and taking out enemy tanks using bazookas. The game begins with a jump out of an airplane after a briefing, allowing players to choose their initial weapon loadout. The parachute-jump provides some flexibility in selecting the starting point, and certain areas offer bonus rewards for successful landings. Players can also access enemy weapons and upgrades gained through extraordinary feats of valour and marksmanship.
Boyd's health system is notable, with four beads of health that regenerate partially if hit by an enemy but not fully emptied. Losing a bead requires players to pick up a health pack to regain it.
The game features a single-player campaign alongside three multiplayer modes: Team Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch Airborne, and Objective. The latter pits teams Axis against Allied in a battle for control of the map, with Team Deathmatch Airborne introducing a unique twist where Allies jump from an airdrop onto the map while Axis begin on the ground.
Medal of Honor is available on the Xbox 360 console and was released on October 12, 2010. The game offers a challenging experience with its health system and variety of multiplayer modes for up to 12 players.
