Zombi is an action game set in a retro-futuristic city where you play as Stubbs the Zombie , fighting off humans and eating their brains. The game follows Stubbs over the course of one day as he zombifies the entire city.
The story of Zombi begins with Edward 'Stubbs' Stubblefield, a traveling salesman who died in the 1930s. Years later, in 1959, the world's richest man built his dream city, Punchbowl Pennsylvania, on top of poor Stubbs' grave. As Stubbs zombifies the city's citizens, he must fight through the police department, militiamen, scientists, and a deadly barbershop quartet.
Gameplay in Zombi involves controlling Stubbs as he navigates the city, killing humans and their brains to increase his powers. Every human that Stubbs kills becomes a zombie, joining him in his quest for brains. Stubbs can use his special body powers, such as flatulence to stun enemies, throwing his pancreas as an explosive grenade, and detaching his head to bowl it at enemies.
The game features stealth and action gameplay, with players using Stubbs' abilities to evade detection by humans and their zombie countermeasures. With a unique art style and atmospheric soundtrack, Zombi is a fresh take on the traditional zombie genre.
