As WarpSpeed , you take on the role of a starpilot tasked with defending star bases from an alien invasion. The game features four distinct starfighters: the Stinger, Striker, Stalker, and Slasher, each with its own unique abilities and strengths.

Gameplay involves navigating through 64 square sections of space, completing mission objectives while avoiding enemy fire. Your ship's computer, engine, shield, weapons, and missiles can be damaged or upgraded as you progress through the game. The Long Range Scanner helps you track down enemies, while the Hyperwave Reciever allows for communication with both your base and the alien forces.
