Winter Challenge is an Olympiad game that simulates various winter competitions. The game features a basic 3D engine to simulate slopes, making some events like Downhill more realistic. In this Winter sports game, players must find the fastest trajectories in most events such as Downhill, Giant Slalom, Luge and Bobsled, pace their runs correctly for Cross Country and Biathlon, demonstrate skill and timing in Ski Jump, and quickly press buttons only in Speed Skating.
The gameplay allows up to ten players to choose from 16 different competitor faces and nationalities, and by selecting difficulty settings, computer-controlled athletes change throughout the competition. The player's goal is to compete against others in a Winter sports setting, with different events requiring different strategies and skills.
