Miami in the 1980s is a city ruled by gangs, drugs, and crime. Tony Montana, a Cuban drug dealer, rises to power as the most powerful man in town. The game Scarface: The World Is Yours puts you in Tony's shoes just before a rival gang attacks his office, setting him on a path to reclaim his empire.
As Tony, your goal is to earn money and respect by dealing drugs and taking over the city. You start by selling small amounts of drugs to dealers, but as you progress, you can set up Fronts, legitimate shops where you sell large quantities of drugs. Taking down enemy gangs and increasing your territory earns you respect and money.
After each deal, you need to launder the money at a local bank and transfer it to your account. You can use this money to buy exotic items for your mansion, like expensive vases or new cars with drivers. These upgrades increase your respect and give you an edge over rival gangs.
When interacting with dealers or trying to avoid cop heat, you'll play mini-games that determine the success of your actions. Earning respect also fills up Tony's 'ball-meter', which allows him to enter a god mode where he's invulnerable and has unlimited ammo. Killing enemies gives Tony health and balls while driving gets bonus balls for stunts like driving on the wrong side of the road or dodging cars. The game lets you explore the city of Miami, just like in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City . There are also side-missions with racing events to keep you busy.
