Super Street Fighter IV is an updated re-release of the original Street Fighter IV. The game was originally envisioned as downloadable content, but it was deemed too large in scope and made available as a full game at a lower price. It contains everything from the original game along with many enhancements.

The new features include Team Battle mode, where up to eight players can fight together, Replay Channel, where you can watch and save replays, and Endless Battle, where the winner plays against a rotating group of opponents. There is also a Tournament mode available as DLC. The game includes bonus characters from other series, such as Final Fight and Street Fighter II.

Owners of the original game can import costume DLC packs and two additional ones are made available for free when a pack is detected. The existing 25 characters all have a new third costume. Ten new characters are unlocked right away and include:

Cody

Dee Jay

Dudley

Guy

Hakan

Ibuki

Juri

Makoto

T. Hawk

All characters except Hakan and Juri already appeared in earlier games, and all characters have access to two Ultra Combos.
