Thor: God of Thunder is a third-person action game based on the 2011 movie, which is in turn based on the Marvel comics series. Set in the world based on Norse mythology, Thor , the protagonist, must save the fictional Asgard realm from destruction.
The villain Loki's treachery forces Thor to defend his city Asgard and travel to other realms like Niflheim, Vanaheim, and Muspelheim. To save Asgard, Thor must use his legendary hammer, Mjolnir, in a melee brawler style fight while controlling the elemental storm powers of lightning, thunder, and wind.
The game features long-ranged attacks using the storm powers, as well as a grapple mechanic for more devastating attacks. The hammer can also be powered up to be hurled at enemies.
