The story of Ballistic revolves around the player's mission to eliminate a constant stream of patterned balls by combining them in sequences. With a unique twist, the balls are shot outward from the center of the screen, requiring strategy and timing to succeed. As the game progresses, the pace intensifies with Panic! mode bringing forth an endless barrage of balls that must be destroyed before they can reach the middle of the screen.
The gameplay of Ballistic is centered around eliminating patterns by combining three balls of different colors. This is achieved through a combination of strategy and skill, as players must carefully plan their shots to maximize the number of eliminated balls. The game also features Checkmate mode, where players are given a limited amount of balls to clear all those on the screen. A versus mode allows for competitive play against other players.
Ballistic was released on PlayStation in 1999 and has since become a cult classic among retro gamers.
