The Striker Pro 2000 is a European soccer game based on the UEFA license, bringing together elements of Rage software's Striker franchise and the PlayStation/Dreamcast version with Infogrames' UEFA license. The game offers a mix of arcade and simulation style gameplay, as well as a certification mode where players are tested for skills to unlock game modes.
The game features many clubs from around the world, but its primary tournament mode focuses on European clubs. In addition to simple and quick selection of friendly matches, the game supports various tournaments, including the Super Trophy and National Team Qualifiers. The Super Trophy features up to 32 teams competing in a league-style format, while the National Team Qualifiers allow players to choose from 49 teams to compete in group stage matches.
The Striker Pro 2000 also includes a Territories Cup mode, which unlocks league play around various world locations as players complete each cup. The game's certification mode rewards players with 8/10 completion and unlocks a bonus competition. Generic league and knockout tournament play, classic matches, and commentary from Ron Atkinson and Jonathan Pearce are also available.
