Iron Man , a videogame loosely based on the 2008 movie, follows Tony Stark as he takes on various missions to fight against villains and protect his suit. After being kidnapped by terrorists, Stark builds an armor to escape and decides to use it for good instead of producing weapons.
The game's storyline is further expanded upon, featuring over 12 different missions and encounters with iconic characters such as Whiplash and Titanium Man. The game also includes cinematics that showcase the story in motion, with voice acting from the movie's cast, including Robert Downey Jr. and Terrence Howard.
The gameplay itself is fast-paced and action-packed, allowing players to control Tony Stark as he fights against various enemies using a range of upgradeable weapons and armor upgrades.
The game features a variety of environments for Stark to navigate through, including on foot and in the air, with the option to use both ranged and melee attacks. The suit's propulsion and armor systems can be upgraded, unlocking special armors from the comics. The gameplay is enhanced by an array of upgradeable weapons such as missiles, micro-grenades, repulsive shots, EMP blasts, a flame thrower, and the powerful "Unibeam".
Differences between this version and other platforms include altered visuals and an upgraded system for upgrading gear, where it is based on how much it has been used.
