The videogame Iron Man is based on the 2008 movie, putting players under the skin of Tony Stark, a billionaire weapon-industrialist and genius inventor. After being kidnapped by terrorists, Stark builds an armor to escape, deciding then to stop producing weapons and work towards fighting back.

The game takes the story further, with over 12 different missions to complete and battles against villains like Whiplash and Titanium Man. The game features cinematics and the voices of actors from the movie, such as Robert Downey Jr. and Terrence Howard.

The gameplay involves fighting armies of soldiers, tanks, and helicopters with a range of upgradeable weapons, including missiles, micro-grenades, repulsive shots, EMP blasts, a flame thrower, and the powerful "Unibeam". The suit's propulsion and armor systems can also be upgraded, and special armors from the comics can be unlocked. Upgrades can be earned by completing missions.
