Peter Jackson's King Kong follows Jack Driscoll, scriptwriter, as he accompanies director Carl Dernham and actress Ann Darrow to Skull Island. There, they encounter prehistoric creatures such as giant insects, dinosaurs, and King Kong . This game is based on the 2005 remake directed by Peter Jackson.
The gameplay involves two main characters: Jack Driscoll and King Kong himself. Jack's levels are fast-paced first-person shooter set on Skull Island, where he must use his wits and a variety of weapons to fend off the island's deadly creatures. In contrast, King Kong 's levels are third-person brawlers, where he must solve environmental puzzles and take down opponents in New York City.
The game was released for the PlayStation 2 on November 1st, 2005, and features two unique gameplay styles. A shorter version of the game was later released for the PSP, with some content cut from the console and PC releases.
