Speedy Gonzales is a platform game where you control the Looney Tunes character Speedy Gonzales. The player runs in the side-scrolling levels. The goal is to reach the exit without losing all lives. Lives are lost when Speedy comes into contact with dangers like enemies, pit traps and sharp spikes. Speedy can earn points by collecting coins. The game takes elements from Sonic, allowing Speedy to run faster and even upside down in loops after running into bumpers. Speedy can also jump higher by jumping on the heads of penguins.
The gameplay involves navigating through various levels while avoiding obstacles and enemies. The player must collect coins to earn points and try to reach the exit without losing all lives. Speedy's abilities, such as his increased speed after running into bumpers, add an extra layer of challenge and excitement to the game.
